Whats new with Bumbleberry Bakes

Well what a start to 2020. This is something I didn’t plan for and I am sure not many others did too. COVID-2019 sure has thrown a few curve balls but good news is that I am staying open. From having the busiest month in December to starting Valentine Day group cookie decorating classes in February, Bumbleberry Bakes was on its ways to a year of firsts! I have had to look at my business and develop new product offerings.

There are some exciting times ahead. I spent time setting up an online ordering system direct through my website. That’s right, you can browse what baked goods I have and order cookies online. Unfortunately my decorated cakes don’t travel the best by post– but not to worry, you can have these cakes delivered in Brisbane or pick up your cake in Alderley.

The first set of cookies are my ‘Sorry Corona virus ruined your …… wedding day/ birthday/ party/ baby shower/ Hen's party/ honeymoon/ holiday

These delicious vanilla shortbread cookies are approximately 12cm in diameter, decorated with a marshmallow tasting fondant (11 colours to choose from) and presented in a gift box.

If you have ever wanted to make your own cake topper, I’m excited to provide you with an easy to follow step by step guide to create your own Zebra or Giraffe cake topper. It is aimed towards the intermediate Cake designer and is part of the African animal series (Next one is going to be a lion). It’s a 26 page PDF and contains about 80 photos with step by step instructions.

May is going to be jampacked with new material on my Instagram and Facebook pages. The extra time at home is great to try out new cookie designs.
